The first-floor space soars nearly six or seven stories high, making visitors feel small upon entering.

2) Lanyang Museum

Lanyang Museumis located inToucheng Township,Yilan County, and was designed byTaiwanesearchitect Kris Yao. The design is centered around the “cuesta” landform—a hill with one steep side and one gently sloping side—which is also characteristic ofYilan’sgeography. Coupled with the area’s former role as the old Wushi Harbor, rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as diverse natural environments including wetland ecology, low-altitude native tree species, and forest landscapes, this place becomes a blend of human culture and natural ecology, making it a landmark ofYilan.

3) NantouZhongxing New Village Stamp Wall

While not as jaw-dropping as the previous two buildings, the Zhongxing Post Office inNantou’sZhongxing New Village has garnered considerable attention for its distinctive exterior wall design. This wall features a large lantern display of over 300 stamp patterns from the 2014TaiwanLantern Festival and has been retained as a local photography spot ever since.
