On your holiday, why not head to the Snow Mountain Trailhead above Wuling Farm and admire the beautiful alpine lake scenery? At an altitude of about 2,140 meters, the wooden boardwalk platform in front of the service station at the Snow Mountain Trailhead offers an extremely wide view, and there is also a small pond with picturesque reflections. When the weather is good, it reflects the small cabins, mountains, blue sky, and white clouds, creating a truly beautiful scene.

The Snow Mountain Trailhead Service Station is located above the camping area of Wuling Farm. The popular scenic attraction of the service station is the nearby “reservoir.” The pond, along with the small cabins, mountains, and blue sky with white clouds, forms the most beautiful picture. With the right angle, it’s easy to mistake this place for having a lake. The stunning scenery makes it feel as if you’re in Europe.

During the day, there are views of the blue sky, white clouds, and mountains; when the sun sets, the sunset clouds change in diverse ways; at night, there are countless stars; in winter, the snow-covered mountain ridges glisten under the snow. All these beautiful scenes are reflected in the pond next to the service station, each moment and season offering its own spectacular view, which also attracts many photography enthusiasts to this location for shooting.

Not only is the pseudo-lake scenery enchanting, but the Snow Mountain Trailhead also offers quite an open view—you can see the Qijia Bay River Valley and the Luoyewei Mountain Ridge. When the weather is good, you can even see the mountain ridges of Nanhu Dashan, Zhongyang Jian Shan, as well as those of unnamed mountains and Lingming Shan. (Source: Shei Ba National Park)

The mountain road leading to the Snow Mountain Trailhead is narrow and not suitable for passing vehicles, so it’s recommended to walk there or take the round-trip shuttle bus provided by Wuling Farm. If you are not planning to enter the national park ecological reserve and are just taking photos at the trailhead, you don’t need to apply for a mountain entry or park entry permit.
