The trial operation of the Guidan Hot Springs in Tainan has been extended to the end of the year, offering free "beauty soup" soaking experiences.

The Guidan Hot Springs experience pool, developed by the Tainan City Government, attracted over 10,000 visitors for foot soaking during its just two months of trial operation. To accommodate facility upgrades within the park and the road widening project on Provincial Highway 186 South, the trial period will be extended until the end of December, with free admission for all visitors during this time.

Nestled in a valley riverbed, Guidan Hot Springs have remained largely undeveloped, preserving the quality of their thermal waters. This weak alkaline carbonated spring is clear, odorless, and helps neutralize the skin’s pH, leaving it softer and smoother — earning it the nickname "beauty soup."

Recognizing the commercial potential of these natural resources, the Tainan City Government developed the Guidan Hot Springs experience pool, which opened for trial operation on May 5 this year. To date, over 10,000 people have visited to soak their feet. The park features three foot soaking pools: an oval-shaped public pool, a square-shaped adult pool, and a lukewarm pool. There is also a 4,000-square-meter green space, walking trails, stone-lined cold water channels, and an ecological pond, attracting many visitors for rest and relaxation.

The Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau stated that although the official opening was originally scheduled for July 1 this year, ongoing facility improvements within the park and the ongoing road widening project from km 3,500 to km 5,592 on Provincial Highway 186 South have led to unstable hot water supply. To ensure a smooth official launch and improve service quality, the trial operation period will be extended, providing visitors with a better hot spring experience environment.
