It’s that time of year again—the romantic season of May snow is here！ To allow visitors to easily enjoy the view of tung blossoms, which look like snow covering fresh green branches, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has coordinated with travel agencies to launch 32 one- to two-day Taiwan sightseeing bus Hakka Tung Blossom tour packages from now until June 30, 2017. Among them, a special offer is available before the end of May: “Gather 4 people, get 1 free” for weekday one-day tour routes.

To allow visitors to experience the Taiwan sightseeing bus Hakka Tung Blossom tour packages right away, the Tourism Bureau has coordinated with operators to offer a special deal: from now until May 31, 2017, “Gather 4 people, get 1 free” for weekday (Monday to Friday, not applicable during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday) one-day tours. The Taiwan Sightseeing Bus’s Taoyuan Line Hakka Village Romantic Boulevard tour package includes attractions such as Emei Scenic Area in Hsinchu County, Nanzhuang Old Street in Miaoli County, and Penglai Stream Nature Ecological Park. In addition to experiencing the local cultural landscape and natural ecology firsthand, visitors can also gain lasting impressions of exquisite historic architecture, local Hakka culinary culture, and the scenery of tung blossoms scattered across the mountain forests.

In addition to coordinating with travel agencies to launch the Hakka Tung Blossom Season “Taiwan Sightseeing Bus” special tour packages and organizing various Hakka Tung Blossom Season events, the Tourism Bureau has also gathered four county and city governments—Council of Indigenous Peoples, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, and Taichung—to identify 67 pearl-like highlight spots along the Taoyuan Line. These have been handed over to the Directorate General of Highways and the Institute of Transportation for research and planning regarding a Taoyuan Line Romantic Bus route and cycling paths, with the hope of allowing more domestic and international travelers to deeply experience the natural beauty and cultural charm of Hakka villages.
