Zero Distance from the Mountains! The Barrier-Free Qingjing High-Altitude Viewing Trail Now Open

TaiwanThere’s another new sightseeing trail open now. Compared to past locations, this one is finally closer to popular tourist spots, situated in the familiarNantouCounty's Qingjing Farm area. This 1,200-meter trail, located at an altitude of 1,700 meters, links the old path near Qingjing National Guesthouse to the southern entrance of Qingqing Grassland, featuring a concealed elevated design that lets visitors stroll through the treetops.

The trail offers expansive views, with six observation decks along the way providing vistas of multiple mountain ranges, including the Central Mountain Range, Qilai Mountains, Nenggao Mountain, and the Hehuan Mountain massif, plus bird’s-eye views of the Lushan Tribe and Taroko Stream. Additionally, it's Taiwan’sfirstbarrier-free high-altitude elevated trail, making it accessible for strollers and wheelchair users.

To maintain quality and safety, authorities manage crowd flow via online reservations, limiting daily entries to 4,000 visitors, with a maximum of 2,000 people on-site at any given time. Visitors can book tickets in advance using the “NantouFun” app or website, then scan their QR code to enter. Plan ahead if visiting on a holiday.

Also, earlier online rumors claimed that the road toNantouQingjing had been cut off, but Nantou Qingjing Tourism Association Chairman clarified that access toNantouQingjing remains fully operational. Despite some issues, transportation to Qingjing hasn’t been affected—everyone can continue visiting with peace of mind.
