Could the fantastical animated world of Hayao Miyazaki actually exist in real life? This small forest known as the Totoro Tunnel was originally called the Soapberry Tree Grove, locatedin Taichungat the border between Houli District and Waipu District, and has becomeone of Taiwan’smost popular photo spots among girls recently.

A row of lush green trees lines the path, with a glimpse of light visible at the far end – the exit of the tunnel. It not only perfectly matches the scenes from "Totoro," but also gives off a mysterious and tranquil vibe.
