COMMUNE A7 Magical White Christmas

COMMUNE A7 in Taipei’s Xinyi District built a magical ice-skating rink this Christmas, and regularly creates “snowfall” within the venue, giving visitors the feeling of being in Europe or America during the holidays. Starting from mid-to-late December, it also launched a variety of fun festive activities, including pet Christmas costume events, singles meet-ups, and exciting performances by DJs, dancers, and acapella groups, extending the romance and joy all the way into 2018.

Taipei Xinyi New World Weeeeee Slide

Taipei has a supersized slide. Shin Kong Mitsukoshi’s Xinyi New World A8 officially launched the 16-meter-high, 42-meter-long spiral slide “Weeeeee Slide” on December 22, touted as “the tallest outdoor spiral slide in Asia.” At night, the slide lights up with LED lights, creating a strong Christmas vibe.

This year’s Christmas at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi New World was extra exciting, featuring the latest third installment of the popular gashapon series “Scoop Planet,” showcasing three polar animal designs: polar bear, reindeer, and king penguin. The usual about 2 cm gashapons have been enlarged into 150 cm-tall super-cute giant scoop animal mascots. Their adorable oversized chins are up close and personal with the public, attracting many for photo ops.

Bella Christmas Town: Old Times in London

Last year, the luxurious department store BELLAVITA created a dreamy Nordic snow kingdom. This Christmas, it’s set to fill your phone memory again. With the theme “Bella Christmas Town: Old Times in London,” BELLAVITA has brought 19th-century London streets into the mall’s central atrium. Super realistic flower and vegetable shops, classic red telephone booths, and specially customized vintage trams make you feel like you’ve stepped through time into an old British movie scene as soon as you enter the department store.

Frozen Festival

Inspired by Disney’s short film “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,” the “Disney Frozen Festival” recreates scenes from the movie. There are plenty of photo opportunities, such as the 5-meter-tall snow monster at the entrance, Anna, Elsa, and the ice castle, cute Olaf and Sven with the sleigh, and the 12-meter-tall crystal magic Christmas tree. You can also ice skate or take part in experience activities—fun and engaging for all.
