It’s “cool” at night tonight！Taipei Zoo invites you to explore after dark.

Summer isn’t just about water fun—there’s a new option in town！Starting July 6, Taipei Zoo will open for nighttime visits. Every Saturday, selected areas of the zoo will stay open until 9:00 PM. The zoo is also offering a “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” deal and free entry for children under 12. Starting at 4:00 PM, “Starlight Tickets” are available for a flat rate of NT$30.

The zoo stated that due to the hot summer weather, temperatures become cooler after sunset. Therefore, from July 6 to August 24, every Saturday the zoo will extend its opening hours to 9:00 PM. The giant pandas’ area will remain open until 6:10 PM, and the “Starry Monsters – The Legend of Bats” special exhibition at the Conservation Supply Station (Zoomall) will stay open until 8:00 PM. Starting at 4:00 PM, “Starlight Tickets” are available for a uniform price of NT$30. The Education Center and the visitor train will also be free of charge starting at 4:30 PM, inviting the public to enjoy the fun of a nighttime zoo visit.

ZooThe areas open at night include the Taiwan Native Species Area, Insectarium, Children’s Zoo, Education Center, Amphibian and Reptile House, and the Main Trail. The zoo specifically reminds visitors not to use flashlights to shine on the animals at night to avoid disturbing their nocturnal routines.

Throughout July and August, the zoo will offer eight different themed summer camp sessions. On July 6, the first nighttime opening of the summer, starting at 5:00 PM, there will be magic shows, juggling, stilt walking, and clown performances. Large animal puppets such as sika deer, Formosan black bears, and giant pandas will also join in the fun. Additionally, there will be screenings of Animal Planet programs and an “Animal Quiz” competition with plenty of prizes.
