Become a flower fairy in the Netherlands！ The tulip displays at Keukenhof Park are absolutely spectacular

After visiting Hokkaido to see lavender before, I fell in love with this kind of literary flower-viewing trip～So of course admiring tulips in the Netherlands was one of the highlights of this trip！ This time I even brought a drone specially to shoot some amazing videos for you all at Keukenhof Park.... Except that I couldn’t fly it, and even if I could, I think just finding a place to take off would be a bit difficult XD There were so many people.

With the imagination of seeing vast fields of tulips, I found upon entering that the gardens here are different from those in Hokkaido. The routes here are scenic-designed, not the kind of expansive field feel, but they have a unique charm and are equally well-crafted and beautiful.

Besides being beautiful, this was the first time I ever smelled the scent of tulips～It’s really super fragrant！ This wonderful fragrance paired with the thoughtfully designed landscapes is truly worth the price of admission.
And I heard there are over a thousand varieties of tulips here—I was honestly dazzled～

Keukenhof Park, also known as the Garden of Europe, was originally the garden of a countess where vegetables and flowers were grown and then cooked—like the concept of a happy farm～So Keukenhof means kitchen garden. Later, after being managed by a group of floriculturists, the entire garden became filled with all kinds of flowers～(That’s roughly the simple history)

It has both indoor and outdoor sections, and you can also take a boat tour to see the tulips. But according to past visitors, the boat tours often show mostly... grass～Because a lot of it has already been harvested～So you can decide for yourself whether to go up～

The outdoor area greets you right at the entrance with pink tulips～We spent nearly 20 minutes just taking photos at this spot... No need to look further after this = =

We started by going left, and as soon as we entered, there was my favorite tree-lined avenue (according to W's observation, he said～"Whenever there’s a tree-lined avenue, you’ll find me rummaging through my bag for my camera～Never fails～XD)

Then we went into the various sections of tulip flower gardens

Not just tulips, oh no～there are other types of flowers too

Indoor area (I personally still prefer the outdoors. Although many say it’s cold, the day we went was sunny and pleasant～super comfortable！ With the big blue sky, it was perfect), eh～～～～～ I didn’t even take any indoor photos～～～

One of the most important spots is the windmill paired with tulips—it’s simply super beautiful

There’s also the home of MIFFY

There’s jumping fun to be had (what’s “jumping fun”?)

You can also climb up the windmill for a view～What you see is a bunch of people waiting for boats. As for the boat ride, you can decide for yourself whether to join—I didn’t take it
There’s also a spot behind with a tree-lined avenue similar to cherry blossoms—I absolutely love it.

After admiring so many beautiful tulip landscapes, your heart is probably won over too, so they sell tulip seeds on-site～XDDD And they’re quarantined so you can bring them back to Taiwan (how thoughtful！), but I didn’t buy any because I felt the tourist spots would be more expensive.

Later when we went to Amsterdam, we did see seeds for sale, but after discussing with the staff, we decided to just buy them back in Taiwan. Because they need to be chilled first and then warmed up before they’ll bloom～～ But when I go back south, it’s 26 degrees～Am I supposed to put them in the fridge? = =

So I just decided to appreciate them with my heart. They also sell souvenirs and food～but we didn’t buy anything. I’d suggest going to Amsterdam where there are lots of souvenir shops. They’re really not more expensive, and even cheaper than what I bought in Makken and Volendam.

Ticket prices (we bought ours in Taiwan in advance, so we wouldn’t have to queue up on-site！！): Adults 16 euros. Children 4-11 years old 8 euros, groups (20 people or more) 13.5 euros
Parking fee: 6 euros

Shuttle transport (you can check their official website): You can buy their combo tickets to go directly from the airport to the garden. We drove ourselves.

1. Amsterdam round trip to Keukenhof Park – Adults €29 (includes admission and transport)
2. Round trip to Keukenhof Park from Schiphol (airport), Leiden, or Haarlem – Adults €24 (includes admission and transport)
3. Children (round trip to Keukenhof Park from Schiphol (airport), Leiden, Haarlem, or Amsterdam) – €12.5 (includes admission and transport)
