Beauty and legs even more stunning — Asia University’s Lee Yi-an wins the crown of Nantou’s “Beautiful Legs Princess”

The champion of the 2013 Nantou Water Bamboo Festival’s Beautiful Legs Princess selection, which promotes the themes of “good-looking, delicious, and fun,” has been announced.Lee Yi-an from Asia Universitywon the crown and will be appointed as the spokesperson for Nantou’s water bamboo and Puli agricultural products. This year, the 12 most beautiful photos of past Beautiful Legs contestants, as voted by the public, will be made into a 2014 Beautiful Legs calendar.

The Nantou County Government Secretariat stated that Nantou boasts naturally beautiful mountains and waters, and thanks to the hard work and continuous innovation of local farmers, the county produces 95% of Taiwan’s total water bamboo yield. The Puli Farmers’ Association also noted that the Beautiful Legs Princess campaign emphasizes “good-looking, delicious, and fun” — featuring attractive Beautiful Legs princesses, delicious water bamboo dishes, and fun eco-leisure experiences in Puli.

The Beautiful Legs Princess selection has been held for seven consecutive years, aiming to promote Nantou’s water bamboo through the image of the princess. This year’s champion, Lee Yi-an, will receive a NT$50,000 prize and a one-year spokesperson appointment with the farmers’ association.The second place went to Liang Zhi-tD, a student from National Chi Nan University,who will receive NT$20,000,and third place went to Gao Man-rong, a 16-year-old student from National Chi Nan University Affiliated High School,who will receive NT$10,000.
