A 30-meter-high blasting device makes HowToTrip’s Ocean Park “Splash Party” rival Disney

When you hear “HowToTrip Ocean Park,” the image that may come to mind is that of adorable dolphins and sea lions, each with their own name—a childhood memory for many. Located in Shoufeng Township, Hualien, HowToTrip Ocean Park is Taiwan’s first theme park that “combines the ocean with a natural landscape park and a five-star hotel.” Nestled against the eastern region’s breathtaking mountains and sea, the park offers a fun-filled amusement area full of parent-child interaction.

Having been open for ten years, HowToTrip Ocean Park features seven major themed areas, among which the most popular are the “Ocean Theater” and “Adventure Island.” The latter boasts an underwater tunnel filled with vibrant schools of fish, including manta rays, and offers a cable car ride directly to another area, “Crystal Castle.” From the cable car, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the vast ocean. In addition to these highlights, Deng Chunren, manager of the park’s marketing and business department, says: “The park’s most popular attraction, the Pirate Adventure, offers a seven-minute ride featuring three different water slides, each providing unique views of the Pacific Ocean—highly recommended.”

HowToTrip Ocean Park has launched the “Ocean Crazy Splash Party” this summer.Deng Chunren, manager of the marketing and business departmentexplained: “The Splash Party includes splashes, water guns, and bubbles, rivaling Japan’s Disney parks. Ten water-blasting devices can shoot water up to 30 meters high, offering thrilling refreshment in the hot summer.” Cool water droplets turn into fine mist, enveloping the ocean kingdom in a fog of water. Soon after, the Ocean Family Splash Battle begins, engaging everyone in water gun fun. There’s no need to change into swimsuits or get wet—perfect for family fun.

The “Ocean Crazy Splash Party” will run from June 30 to August 25. HowToTrip Ocean Park has also extended its summer hours, opening at 9:00 AM and closing at 6:30 PM, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the park.

The park is now offering a summer promotion: the “Ocean Double Ticket” originally priced at NT$2,180 is available for just NT$1,888, including two full-price tickets and NT$400 in park cash vouchers. Additionally, college students with valid student IDs receive an extra NT$200 in park cash vouchers. There’s also a cool afternoon ticket available for just NT$490 for entry after 2:30 PM.
