Taiwan High-Speed Rail’s “Happy Cartoon Train” Debuts, Featuring Cute Characters like Pops and Finn

Starting July 22, the 31st train set of Taiwan High-Speed Rail will join service in the “Happy Cartoon Train” livery. On July 21, the “Happy Cartoon Train” made its inaugural run, with beloved characters from Cartoon Network—Pops, Finn, and Princess Bubblegum—adorably painted inside and outside the entire train, drawing delighted exclamations from onlookers. OCAC Chairman Ou Chin-der stated that Taiwan High-Speed Rail is launching the “Happy Cartoon Train” during the summer vacation, aiming to use this creative concept to attract children and families to ride, turning the high-speed rail journey into one of the most beautiful memories of life and bringing more joy to society.

The “Happy Cartoon Train” of Taiwan High-Speed Rail features each of its 12 carriages adorned with different cartoon-themed exterior paintings, while the interior is decorated with cute cartoon characters everywhere. Service items such as paper cups, headrest covers, wet wipe packaging, napkins, as well as the attendants’ aprons, have all been thoughtfully designed and printed with various cartoon patterns, welcoming passengers to enjoy a whimsical high-speed rail journey full of childlike fun.

The 7th carriage of the “Happy Cartoon Train” also features a “Happiness Delivery Station” mailbox in the aisle, where passengers can pick up free cartoon-themed postcards, stamp them with commemorative postmarks, fill them out, and drop them directly in the mailbox, allowing friends and family to share in the joy of riding the “Happy Cartoon Train,” or to keep as a lovely memory of their own.

Children riding this “Happy Cartoon Train” may also have the chance to receive exclusive limited-edition small gifts from Taiwan High-Speed Rail. The ticketing method and fare for the “Happy Cartoon Train” are exactly the same as for other current trains.
