Escape the crowds: A hidden gem at Yuzi Lake on Green Island

When visiting Green Island, don’t just stick to the overly touristy spots,
If you make it to Yuzi Lake, be sure to explore either left or right—don’t just stay on the beach in front of the old house.
The hidden attraction we’re introducing this time is located at the far end to the right of Yuzi Lake. Keep going, and you’ll discover another breathtaking sky Up！

You might even spot some people rock climbing if you’re lucky！
Just looking at it is scary enough—they’re climbing down from above. I think I’d definitely be too scared to try XD
The winding slope leading to Yuzi Lake is quite steep. Even I, who comes here often, find it a bit intimidating. Everyone, ride carefully！
There are also lots of little lizards darting across the road—slow down so you don’t accidentally run them over.

Yuzi Lake isn’t really a very popular tourist spot,
Most visitors just come to take a look at the old houses and dip their feet in the water,
but please don’t settle for that easily,
venture deeper into nature to discover Yuzi Lake’s hidden paradise. Doesn’t it feel refreshing？

To get to the hidden spot at Yuzi Lake, it takes about a 10-minute walk, during which you’ll have to pass through this narrow rocky crevice.
Remember to eat something before coming in, or bring plenty of snacks—it’s like having a picnic at Yuzi Lake！

((Told you it was dangerous, but someone still insists on trying.))
Even though we’re heading to a hidden attraction, don’t skimp on safety measures,
Reef shoes and life jackets are essential—there are tons of jagged rocks around, and one wrong step could really leave you bleeding.

Walk and explore as you go, you’ll get there eventually. Our group is casually strolling along at our own pace.

After navigating this section of perilous rocks, you’ll finally reach our hidden spot at Yuzi Lake！

After trekking over mountains and valleys, we’ve finally made it！
The crystal-clear blue sky and deep azure sea here are so close yet so distinct,
As someone who loves the ocean, I couldn’t help but sit quietly on the rocks, taking in the endless blue, unwilling to get in the water.

Grab your goggles—we’re going in Up！ This natural pool lets us swim with peace of mind, without worrying about drifting too far and getting caught in waves.
Though there are some deep areas, you can always hold onto the rocks. Even non-swimmers won’t feel too scared swimming here.

The marine life underwater is absolutely beautiful,
Here, you can observe the stunning natural ecosystem undisturbed—it’s practically a natural swimming pool.
Just be careful not to bump into the reefs, and keep an eye on the tide times.

Playing by the seaside, you definitely can't miss the amazing experience of feeding the fish. We even went to FamilyMart to buy some bread to feed the fish here.

There’s a huge sea erosion cave here.
The very back is pitch black — you can’t see your hand in front of your face or the sky above.
Diving down to the seabed is so cool, but I just couldn’t go down. Why is that? So frustrating!

After playing all afternoon, we got hungry and started heading back.

There may not be as many goats on Green Island as on Orchid Island, but you can still often spot them around.
See those white dots on the rocks? Those are the goats, up there!

Before leaving, I still couldn’t bear to part with every scene here — more picturesque than a painting, with an outrageously blue sky.
The blue sky feels so close, as if you could reach out and pinch the clouds!
Of course, when it comes to secret spots, FOX’s list is way longer than mine.
So this year, I’m also bringing my new camera and heading back to Green Island for a refresher trip!
