Airlines launch temperature-controlled product freight services to develop healthcare logistics market

Domestic airlines announced today (23rd) that they have partnered with a global brand of temperature-controlled containers to launch temperature-controlled product freight services, providing customers with opportunities to develop logistics markets primarily focused on healthcare (Healthcare). The service utilizes the SkyTeam global airline network, connecting to 174 countries and 864 destinations with over 11,392 flights per day for convenient transportation.

In the International Air Transport Association (IATA) 2012 statistical report, China Airlines Cargo was ranked ninth in international freight, offering high-quality constant-temperature freight services for high-value items. This time, seeing the potential of the cold chain market, it is developing the transport market for special low-temperature goods such as pharmaceutical items. Leveraging China Airlines' advantage in cross-strait routes, it strengthens close connections between Europe, America, and Asia, and provides optimal cargo transshipment services at multiple Asian hub airports. Initially, eight stations including Taipei, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, Osaka, and Singapore will be targeted for the development of temperature-controlled products.

Envirotainer has signed a cooperation agreement with China Airlines to provide a series of training and operational courses for different types of temperature-controlled containers. Both parties will also jointly formulate promotion plans and market development strategies. China Airlines plans to launch the promotion of temperature-controlled products in the fourth quarter of 2013. With the overall network support of the SkyTeam alliance, it will offer customers more efficient, consistent, customized, frequent, and seamless global air freight services.
