July is already halfway over, so it’s time to plan for Father’s Day in August. For all the hardworking dads out there, Taipei Fuhang Hotel will launch various dining promotions and set menus from August 1 to 8. The new Japanese head chef will use fresh, seasonal ingredients to present an exclusive “Father’s Day Japanese Omakase Set.” There will also be Jiangsu-Zhejiang and European semi-buffet sets, allowing the whole family to give Dad their sincerest thanks.

Taipei Fuhang Hotel’s Haishan Hall presents an exclusive Father’s Day “Japanese Omakase Set” priced at NT$1,800 plus 10% service charge. Prepared by the new Japanese head chef using the season’s freshest ingredients, this limited-time set includes premium cuts of beef and seafood, as well as seasonal vegetables. Dishes include grilled beef tenderloin, steamed sea bass, sautéed seasonal vegetables, Japanese-style clear soup, and stir-fried seasonal greens, delivering a refined and elegant dining experience that shows your dad how much he means to you.

The Father’s Day set menu in the hotel’s Chinese restaurant is a great choice for dads who enjoy authentic flavors.

Meanwhile, the Jiangnan Chun and Lixiangyuan restaurants within the hotel also offer a Jiangsu-Zhejiang set and a European semi-buffet set respectively: The Jiangnan Chun Father’s Day set includes the restaurant’s most popular dishes, such as Wuxi spare ribs, green shrimp chips, abalone chicken stewed with shark fin cups, and silver-thread cod. Lixiangyuan’s semi-buffet set gives diners a choice of three distinctive main courses: crispy bonito flake pork cutlet, charcoal-grilled ribeye steak with cheese and herb mushrooms, and pan-seared Atlantic salmon with Provence herbs. Paired with a light salad bar, guests can enjoy a wide selection of vegetables, breads, and fruits. Each set is priced at NT$888 plus 10%.

The Chinese restaurant’s set menu is also a hit among dads.

Meanwhile, the Rainbow Pavilion, located in the atrium and offering a variety of Asian buffet dishes, is running a spending promotion during the event period. Diners who spend NT$1,000 or more at Rainbow Pavilion will receive a NT$200 dining voucher. On the other hand, the European-style buffet restaurant Louvre on the fourth floor is offering an “early bird pre-order discount” for Father’s Day weekend, August 3 and 4. Those who preorder meal vouchers in advance can enjoy lunch at NT$788 and dinner at NT$888.

Besides delicious food, a Father’s Day cake is an essential treat for the whole family to enjoy together. This year, Chef Chen Jianyou from Taipei Fuhang’s pastry shop has created a limited-time “Strong Back” cake tailored to fathers’ taste preferences. Combining salted caramel mousse with an almond-walnut cake base, along with banana and black rice milk filling, the cake is richly aromatic. The almond crumb at the bottom adds a unique flavor twist. Priced at just NT$680.
