Hsinchu’s “Ocean Music Festival” Kicks Off on the 27th — Star-Studded Lineup to Party All Night

The “New Moon Beach Ocean Music Carnival,” held annually in Hsinchu County for five consecutive years, has seen increasing attendance each year. This year’s “Colorful Hsinbei Beach Fun at New Moon” will take place on the 27th, featuring performances by well-known Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Hakka artists such as Da Mouth, Universe, Zhang Xiuqing, and Mountain Dog & the Youngsters Band.

Hsinchu Mayor Yang Jingci stated that the New Moon Beach Music Festival isn’t just about evening events — there will also be daytime activities like traditional fishnet pulling and fish fry releases for family interaction, aiming to help everyone learn about the local agriculture and fishing characteristics of Hsinbei through hands-on fishing experiences.

Additionally, the music festival kicks off at 3 PM with beach activities including environmental beach clean-ups, fishnet pulling experiences, fish fry releases, windsurfing, karaoke, a horseplay battle game, and a parent-child sand sculpture competition. In the evening, the New Moon Ocean Music Awards will take the stage, with performances by Mountain Dog & the Youngsters Band, Wang Jianjie, Zhang Xiuqing, Lin Junji, Universe, Popu Lady, Chen Shian, and Da Mouth, all joining the public for a night of fun. After the concert, an exciting fireworks show will surely bring the festival to successive climaxes.
