Now, the similarly billed largest and first “legal” Triumph Night Market will also open today (29th), with vendors offering a 10% discount during the opening period to attract customers. Triumph Night Market pointed out that although the earlier-opened Golden Diamond Night Market is bustling with visitors, it has also exposed shortcomings — most notably, overcrowded people and vehicles that completely paralyzed nearby traffic. Triumph Night Market is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; Golden Diamond Night Market is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Among these, some days feature night market battles that are even more exciting. The two night markets together cover 15,000 ping, with Triumph covering 9,073 ping — larger than Golden Diamond. Operators say there are approximately 1,000 stalls, using Kaohsiung’s characteristic “First to Tenth” road names as stall signage to make it easier for visitors to navigate the night market.
