Starting July 30th, the Matsu Administration has invited multiple performance groups from Taiwan and Matsu to perform in front of the Nangan Visitor Center Plaza. Today’s opening ceremony kicked off with an Electric Three Princes performance, along with a Matsu food fair and a show by Super Idol – Chang Wan’er. Wang Zhongming, head of the Matsu Administration, stated: “The biggest breakthrough of this concert is the inclusion of many local Matsu performance groups. For example, the Electric Three Princes brought by the Matsu Parade Association and the Fuzhou-style duet singing from Yuntai are all infused with local characteristics, presenting a performance style distinct from that of Taiwan.”

If you think the music performances aren’t enough, the “Cai Meng Nangan Visitor Center – Travel Supply Station,” which officially opened on the same day, is a must-visit new attraction in Matsu. It offers a variety of Matsu specialties and casual meals. Enjoying a meal in the elegant second-floor seating area while taking in the sea view makes it a perfect spot for afternoon tea.

In addition to the Midsummer Music Concert, August in Matsu also features exciting eco-tours such as bird-watching and sea cruises to view Matsu. Starting August 1st, key annual events include the “Juguang Marine Tourism Year” in Juguang Township, the “Beigan Marine Tour” in Beigan Township, and the “Sea Tour of Dongyin” in Dongyin Township.
