Sexy attire at the ticket gate; Sunny Tingting serves as train conductor for the day

Yesterday (4th), the Nantou Train Festival’s steam locomotive DT668 ride was led by conductor Sunny Tingting from the Brother Elephants cheerleading squad, the Elephant Young Girls. Sunny Tingting, voted by netizens as the most dreamy person they’d like to ride a train with, stood out among three popular online celebrities. Breaking away from the traditional image, she dressed up as a slightly sexy train conductor.

The second edition of the Nantou Train Festival’s Popular Conductor Voting saw two fan-favorite conductors selected online—one beloved by children, akin to favorite hosts on kids’ TV shows, and the other a sweet, eye-catching beauty. Last week kicked off with Bee Sister, the queen of the kids’ world, and this week, the sweet beauty Sunny Tingting took over. Yesterday afternoon, Tingting rode the DT668 steam train from Zhuoshui Station to Checheng Station. Upon her arrival at Zhuoshui Station, a crowd of fans quickly gathered to take photos and ask for selfies. Usually vibrant and sexy on the ball field, she also showed warmth and friendliness toward passengers.

While the train was in motion, Tingting patrolled the carriages to check tickets and gave onboard announcements about the scenery along the Jiji Line and safety reminders. It was Tingting’s first time riding a steam train, and she shared that using the train’s PA system to speak and have her voice echo inside the carriage had been a childhood dream. She expressed great excitement for this rare opportunity. Meanwhile, the actual conductor, Mr. Lin Xiantang, remarked that it was rare to see such a beautiful conductor—if all conductors looked like Tingting, every trip would be fully booked.

The Nantou Train Festival enters its final week, running through August 11. Steam trains will operate every Sunday during the event. As long as you stay at a licensed hotel or homestay in Nantou during the event period, you can apply in advance through your accommodation provider for a free steam train ride. Currently, there are limited seats left, so those interested should check availability online in advance.
