The Yehliu Ocean World in Wanli was severely damaged by Typhoon Soudelor last month. After nearly a month of closure for repairs, the Ocean Life Exhibition Hall reopened on August 15. All marine life has been returned, including turtles, sharks, electric rays, pufferfish, starfish, and more. Visitors can not only enjoy the exquisite window-style displays but also observe the activities of hundreds of marine species up close. Children can even interact and play directly with the dolphins.

Ocean World stated that last month, due to the strong winds and heavy rains brought by the typhoon, multiple areas of the ocean park were directly flooded, causing extensive damage throughout the park. The underground first-floor Life Exhibition Hall was completely destroyed. After one month of repairs, the Life Exhibition Hall has been reborn from the water. At the end of July, Ocean World had already reopened the dolphin and sea lion shows, though the entire park was not yet open, and ticket prices were reduced by 20%. Now that it has fully reopened, ticket prices have returned to regular rates: NT$400 for adults, NT$330 for children, and NT$225 for concession tickets.

Ocean World’s signature dolphin and sea lion shows, synchronized swimming, and high-diving performances will also take place at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:30 PM from Monday to Friday, with an additional 4:00 PM show on weekends. Ocean World noted that all the marine animals have “returned to their places,” and after the shows, visitors can head to the underground first floor to admire the diverse and vibrant fish swimming in the aquarium.
