New Dating Spot in Kaohsiung: A Romantic Night Illuminated by Giant Bamboo Weaving Art at the Metropolitan Park

In recent years, the Kaohsiung government has been actively promoting environmental greening by transforming multiple plots of land into metropolitan parks. This not only enhances the cityscape but also provides locals and tourists with many more great places to take a stroll. Located in the Fengshan District, the Wujicamp Metropolitan Park was once a solemn military site but has now been converted into a multifunctional urban park themed around humanities, arts, and natural ecology. Stroll through Dream Park and admire outdoor public artworks to experience the artistic vibe of Kaohsiung.

Covering an area of over 50 hectares, Wujicamp Metropolitan Park is the largest natural ecological park in southern Taiwan. It includes areas such as Dream Park, Urban Garden District, and the former military base. There are three large public art installations in the park, namely "Enactment," "Bugle Call," and "Mystic Water Light." Among them, the new art installation "Bunker" is woven from bamboo and straw, and when lit up at night, it resembles a giant artistic lamp that warms the heart.

Meanwhile, the construction of the largest international-level art performance venue in southern Taiwan, the "Wujicamp Arts and Cultural Center," is currently underway. Designed by Dutch architects, it includes four indoor performance halls and an open-air theater that can accommodate 1,000 spectators. It is expected to officially open to the public in October 2018.
