Taipei Autumn Travel Fair Kicks Off This Friday — 5-Day Boracay Trip Including Tax for Just NT$8,888

Taiwan’s International Travel Fair, also known as the Taipei Autumn Travel Fair, will take place from August 23 to 26. Among the highlights, Philippines travel packages have garnered significant attention following the lifting of travel restrictions, with the lowest-priced 5-day Boracay trip starting at just NT$8,888. Additionally, autumn foliage tours to various countries are expected to see strong sales as the season arrives.

Due to a three-month red travel alert that severely impacted Taiwan’s tourism to the Philippines, the Philippine Department of Tourism has partnered with 12 travel agencies—including EasyTravel, Pinguan, Caibai, Baiwei, Zhonglian, Fuliyi, Feifei, Puro, Wandah, Shuangxiang, Feilong, and Shixing—to launch a limited-time offer of 24 sets of 5-day Boracay free-and-easy trips including tax for just NT$8,888. As part of the promotion, the Philippines has introduced a “Find Your ‘Phi’ly Good Friend” campaign in response to the lifting of restrictions. Travelers departing for the Philippines between August 28 and December 31 this year can enter a lucky draw for a chance to win NT$1 million in travel vouchers by presenting six flight tickets (for travelers holding Taiwanese passports) for group travel of six or more.

For autumn foliage tours, Chan Hsing Travel Service is offering a 5-day trip to South Korea’s Samshin Mountain, Mal Mountain, and Cheonnam Terrace—three famous autumn foliage spots—with prices starting from NT$21,900 (original price), now on special at NT$18,900 including tax, and a further discount of up to NT$2,000 for the second traveler when going as a pair. The offer is valid for departures between October and November. Shuangxiang Travel Service is offering a 5-day South Korea Seoraksan foliage tour starting from NT$17,710 including tax, while Darong Travel Service has a 5-day trip to Kurobe Alpine Route and plateau foliage areas starting at NT$29,900 including tax, with a NT$5,000 discount for the second traveler.

Other deals include a 4-day Okinawa free-and-easy trip including tax for NT$8,900 from Junhua Travel Service, and a 3-day, 2-night Hong Kong free-and-easy trip for NT$6,790 (excluding tax) from Tianqing Travel Service. For longer European trips, Changzhang Travel is offering a 7-day Europe Mini Rabbit free-and-easy Paris itinerary, originally priced at NT$59,900 including tax, now on sale for NT$45,900. Buyers at the travel fair will also receive an additional NT$2,000 discount for a 1-day Shanghai add-on, saving a total of NT$14,000. Train enthusiasts might consider the 20-day Siberian Railway backpacker tour from Dadi Holidays, originally NT$268,000 including tax, now available for just over NT$150,000—that’s a saving of over NT$100,000.

For domestic travel, the Kenting Corner Fantastic Resort Hotel is offering American-style RV camping vouchers originally priced at NT$4,980, now available for just NT$99 for the second person when traveling as a pair—a staggering 0.3% of the original price, limited to just 9 sets. Xitou Mitai Hotel is offering its palace-style accommodation for two people for a regular two-day, one-night stay originally at NT$9,420 plus 10%, now discounted to NT$3,888 (38% off) during the fair, limited to 150 sets.

The Autumn Travel Fair is organized by the Taipei City Travel Agents Association and brings together domestic travel agencies, overseas tourism offices in Taiwan, and local government bodies, with a total of 350 exhibitors and 500 booths. The event features five major zones: the Around the World Zone, Domestic Travel Zone, Resort Hotel Zone, Sightseeing Factory Zone, and Local Specialties Zone, all aiming to attract crowds this weekend.
