Top 10 Must-Visit Homestays in Taiwan – “Yu Shui Zhi Huan” Is Highly Praised

The portal website “Yam.com” has announced the results of its poll for Taiwan’s Top 10 Must-Visit Homestays, with “Yu Shui Zhi Huan” in Taitung taking the top spot. Its prime location by the mountains and sea offers breathtaking mountain and ocean views, and its open surroundings allow guests to enjoy a star-filled night sky—qualities that helped it stand out. The second and third places went to “Pingtung - Baisha 15” and “Hualien - Slow Stone Steps Terrace” homestays, respectively.

The poll for the Top 10 Must-Visit Homestays attracted 160,000 votes, with 70% of the total score coming from online votes and the remaining 30% based on the frequency of related keyword searches online. The homestays ranked 4th to 10th are, in order: Penghu Blue Sea Sunny Day, Chiayi Four Seasons Starry Sky, Tainan Xie Residence, Hualien Cloud Mountain Water, Yilan Big Fish Daily, Taichung Private Rain Dew, and Pingtung Sea Realm.

Travel experts say the top three homestays each have their own unique appeal. “Yu Shui Zhi Huan” has only five rooms, emphasizing quality over quantity, and offers both mountain and sea views along with a starry night sky. “Pingtung - Baisha 15” features an L-shaped layout with a vast property, and all furniture inside is made from solid wood. Guests are picked up and dropped off by a dedicated butler, adding a touch of luxury. “Hualien - Slow Stone Steps Terrace” boasts a blue sea in front and green mountains behind, and is located next to the famous Shitiiping Fishing Port, making it very convenient for seafood dining.
