Affordable Zongzi Group Buys Selling Like Hotcakes—Jinshan Fupin Home Sold 17,000 in a Single Week

Affordable zongzi for the Dragon Boat Festival are a hit with consumers. Group-buying platform ihergo (爱合购) has observed that all best-selling zongzi on its site are budget-friendly options. The runaway top seller is Jinshan Fupin Home’s classic salted egg yolk zongzi, which sold 17,000 units in just one week. Meanwhile, Hsinchu Neiwan Goose Sister’s wild ginger flower zongzi also sold over 4,000 units within just five days, with popular options priced below NT$50 per piece. Additionally, due to growing consumer interest in health in recent years, sales of wellness zongzi and vegetarian zongzi have increased by an average of 42% compared to last year.

ihergo reports that its current top-selling product is Jinshan Fupin Home’s classic salted egg yolk zongzi, averaging just NT$45 per piece. Over a seven-day promotion period, 17,000 units were sold. In addition, Goose Sister’s wild ginger flower zongzi from Hsinchu Neiwan is priced at just NT$15 each and exceeded 4,000 units sold in just five days.

ihergo also found that wellness zongzi and vegetarian zongzi are very popular this year, with average sales of such products on the platform up 42% compared to last year. Popular vendors include South Gate Market’s Lao Lin Ji and Auntie Ah Ling’s Shop. In addition, well-known brands have also caught onto this trend, with shops like Yan Shui Salted Meat Zongzi and Old East launching offerings such as multi-grain zongzi and vegetarian zongzi.
