Luxurious Emirates Airlines  Direct flights from Taipei to Dubai starting February 2014

Emirates Airlines, which recently ranked first in the international airline rating Skytrax, announced that starting February 10 next year, it will launch direct flights from Taiwan to Dubai. Initially, there will be six flights per week, with a flight duration of about nine hours. In addition to the convenience of direct flights, passengers will also be able to continue their journeys from Dubai to destinations across the Middle East, as well as European cities such as London and Paris.

Emirates Airlines stated,The direct flight route from Taoyuan to Dubai will change the long-haul travel habits of Taiwanese passengers. In the future, travelers heading to Europe, Africa, and South America will no longer need to rely on connections via Hong Kong or Bangkok, but can instead transit through Dubai.Currently, the direct flight route is planned to be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which feature first class, business class, and economy class. The flight from Taoyuan to Dubai takes approximately nine hours, while the return flight from Dubai takes about eight hours.

In fact, both China Airlines and EVA Air had previously launched direct flights to Dubai, but they were subsequently discontinued. Emirates Airlines, however, introduced a cargo flight route between Taoyuan and Dubai as early as ten years ago, and is now developing a passenger route due to market trends. Although Emirates Airlines has traditionally been positioned in the mid- to high-price range, its overall service and cabin environment are highly regarded. Coupled with the rarity of such services in the market, it still offers strong appeal to Taiwanese travelers.
