The “Fluffy Rabbit” Hops into a Corner of Taitung’s Sanciandao, Becoming “Beishilian’s Secret”

The “Forest’s Secret” Fluffy Rabbit Has Moved Out！The Taitung special exhibition of Jimmy Liao’s “A Corner of the World,” which accompanied both adults and children through the long summer vacation, closed on September 1. The much-anticipated “Fluffy Rabbit,” leaping off the pages of Jimmy Liao’s illustrations, along with other artworks, will be relocated to the Beishilian Tribe on Sanciandao in Chenggong Township, Taitung, becoming “Beishilian’s Secret.”

Since its launch in July this year, Jimmy Liao’s “A Corner of the World” Taitung exhibition has received an overwhelmingly positive response. Over 20,000 visitors came to see the display during its roughly 50-day run. The large-scale artwork quietly lying in the courtyard, as well as the “Fluffy Rabbit” from Jimmy Liao’s “Forest’s Secret” picture book, which captured the imagination of many, became popular photo spots. With the end of the exhibition, the “Fluffy Rabbit” has decided to stay in Taitung. It will hop over to Sanciandao in Chenggong Township together with other exhibited artworks and settle in the Beishilian Tribe, becoming a new resident of the community.

To bid farewell to the “Fluffy Rabbit,” the Taitung Art Museum specially organized a drawing competition, inviting students from the art classes of Shinsei Elementary School and National Tainan Normal University Experimental Elementary School to create lovely images of it. Chen Lien-yan, wife of Taitung County Magistrate, also expressed her gratitude for the “Fluffy Rabbit” keeping Taitung company over the summer, adding that even after moving to Sanciandao, people can still visit it when they have time.
