Who says sashimi always has to be pricey? Who says you have to go to an upscale Japanese restaurant to enjoy it?
There’s a dedicated stall called “Hong Wen Sashimi” in the food court of Neihu’s Lane 737 Night Market.
Ever since Mom-Mite discovered this affordable, delicious, and convenient sashimi stall at Lane 737,
Hong Wen’s sashimi has often appeared on our dining table—especially as a weekend late-night treat.

Hong Wen Sashimi is located at Alley 51, intersecting with the bustling main Lane 737 in Section 1, Neihu Road.
The stall is small, with neatly arranged sashimi pieces in a small chilled display case—looking very clean and hygienic, quite different from the usual night market or street vendor impression.
Moreover, the owner always washes their hands again before slicing the fish, adding an extra layer of protection for food hygiene and customer health.

Hong Wen Sashimi sources its ingredients from fresh catches in Donggang—seeing them makes me want to dig in right away.
The ingredients only arrive around 4:30 PM each day, and there are about seven different types of sashimi to choose from.
Popular varieties like salmon and tuna are usually snapped up quickly, so those wanting to try something fresh should come early.

Hong Wen Sashimi may be a small street stall, but they don’t cut corners when it comes to takeout.
There’s no fancy packaging, but they place dry wasabi on a plastic plate, pack soy sauce in a zip-lock bag, and wrap everything in a plastic bag.
They also include a pack of ice to keep the sashimi fresh.
Of course, you should still head home as soon as possible—sashimi that isn’t eaten right away should be stored in the fridge to stay fresh.

Hong Wen Sashimi has reportedly been in business for 10 years, and business is pretty good.
