Just seeing snow with their own eyes makes them happy.

In recent years, people are no longer satisfied with just passively admiring the snow. They are starting to get eager to try skiing, but often they are limited by language barriers and lack of accessible information, preventing them from taking the first step. Therefore, through this Ski Expo, people can learn about and understand: the development of skiing worldwide and in Taiwan, renowned international brands and domestically produced skiing equipment, introductions to famous ski resorts in Japan, information on various ski-themed tour packages in Taiwan, as well as hundreds of still and dynamic images showcasing joyful snowy scenes. In addition, visitors can experience a million-dollar dry artificial ski slope and enjoy brilliant performances by numerous skilled skiers.

Tang Guizhen said that among the Japanese ski resorts participating in this expo, there is also the Hoshino Resorts Tomamu in Hokkaido, which was listed by the new-century business magazine PPAPER BUSINESS in 2012 as one of the world’s top ten theme parks. This is because, aside from offering multi-faceted snowy experiences such as Ice Village, Ice Market, Ice Chapel, and Polar Village, it also features a ski resort with an altitude of 1,239 meters and a total length of 4,500 meters. “Especially the snow here is rare and precious—it’s the fine and smooth Powder Snow like talcum powder. The way it falls from the sky is beautiful, and when it piles on the ground, it’s soft and fluffy. It’s easy to ski on, you don’t get hurt when you fall, and it’s very safe, making it highly suitable for beginner skiers.”

Different groups have different expectations for skiing
Different groups have their own unique definitions of “skiing.” It can be seen as a highly challenging competitive sport, just a relaxed leisure activity, or even a flexible option while traveling. The Tomamu Resort has 17 ski runs designed along the mountain terrain, suitable for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers, meeting everyone’s needs and ensuring all are happy. “But given that the skiing population still needs to grow, when we took over the operations of the Hoshino Resorts Tomamu in Hokkaido in 2009, our focus was mainly on beginners.
