The Yellow Rubber Duck, soon to be displayed at Kaohsiung Harbor, makes its first public appearance！Following yesterday’s water towing test of the duck platform and positioning, today the Yellow Rubber Duck was assembled with the platform for inflation, trial sailing, and securing tests. Although today’s test was not open to the public, many people gathered outside the barriers eager for a first look.

According to test and trial sailing information provided by the Kaohsiung City Government regarding the assembly, launching, and sailing of the Yellow Rubber Duck and its platform, the afternoon session included the duck’s inflation on the water, trial sailing from Pier 2 (Pier 2 Art Center) to Glory Pier, securing tests, and a return trial sailing from Glory Pier to Pier 2. After today’s testing, the Yellow Rubber Duck will not appear again until the dress rehearsal on the 18th.

Additionally, the official Kaohsiung-exclusive souvenir — a rubber duck plush toy — made its first appearance. The approximately 9-centimeter-tall cute mini duck will be sold exclusively at Glory Pier on the opening day of the exhibition on September 19, with a limited run of 18,000 units. The city government has also secured other licensed merchandise from the original creator, including trendy Yellow Duck T-shirts and commemorative pins, all of which will be released in limited quantities.
