Dadaocheng Hosts Its First “Miaohui” – Experience a Century of Life Stories Together

The first-ever lifestyle and creative exhibition in Dadaocheng’s history, “Miaohui,” debuts on Mid-Autumn Festival (the 19th). It invites 12 creators and designers to capture the stories of 20 local businesses, including cartoonist Mickey Yen, who has participated in the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France. In addition to the static themed exhibition, a live mass creative activity is planned, aiming to collect 10,000 encouraging cards to be displayed as well.

Organizer CAMPOBAG states that the “Miaohui” exhibition will be held from September 19 to October 20 in the Dadaocheng district, aiming to convey the area’s century-old cultural charm and business models through interactive displays. The lifestyle exhibition includes themed exhibits, hands-on activities, and sharing workshops. Award-winning co-design and Min Design will also present works related to Dadaocheng.

During the event period, “Miaohui” will host over 20 creative workshops and lectures, including the “Taipei Human Touch Workshop,” “Creative Action Workshop Across Four Asian Cities,” “PPAPER Lecture,” and “Delicious Canteen.” Organizers noted that the on-site “10,000 Encouraging Cards” initiative aims to collect 10,000 small cards with uplifting messages, which will be displayed at the Taiwan Designer’s Week Lifestyle Exhibition from September 27 to October 6.
