The "Yellow Duck Craze" is here！On the 19th, the duck officially made its debut at Glory Pier, with surrounding merchandise quickly following suit to welcome the crowd and business opportunities brought by the yellow duck. In addition to limited edition yellow duck plush toys—Kaohsiung memorial versions, T-shirts, brooches, towels, and more—recently popular washi tape has also become an officially licensed product.

"Can I buy it now?" "What time does it go on sale tomorrow?" A total of seven types of yellow duck merchandise will only go on sale after the duck enters the harbor in the afternoon, but the day before, many people were already asking non-stop, and children happily played with the little duck—the duck craze was already heating up even before the launch. The Left Brain Marketing Company, which is collaborating with the Kaohsiung City Government on this event, stated that the duck merchandise sold only on-site at Glory Pier, such as the limited edition yellow duck plush toy, is limited to 18,000 pieces and will be sold until they run out, with a limit of four per person. All merchandise will officially go on sale after the opening ceremony on September 19th.

The most inquired-about yellow duck plush toy is imported from abroad, but features a commemorative stamp with the word “Kaohsiung” printed on its rear, and its packaging is also different from those sold in other countries. The yellow duck, incorporating imagery of Kaohsiung Harbor, has a local flavor, and all merchandise has been reviewed and approved by the yellow duck designer, Florentijn Hofman.
