The Guhou Fishermen’s Market is located next to Guhou Fishing Port. Thanks to its prime location, the vendors here offer top-quality seafood, especially the New Taipei specialty — “Wanli Crabs,” which are famous along the North Coast. To help everyone celebrate Christmas joyfully, the Agriculture Bureau and Guhou Fishermen’s Market have prepared special Wanli crab-themed Christmas gifts for lucky visitors.

On December 23 (Saturday) and December 24 (Sunday), spend NT$1,000 or more at any single stall, and you can get a raffle ticket from the vendor. Fill in the information and drop it into the raffle box at the Guhou Fishermen’s Market management office. The first 100 visitors each day will receive a beautiful small gift such as a Wanli crab-shaped wooden spoon or sticky notes, and you might also win one of 20 limited gift sets that include three pre-cooked frozen Wanli crabs (about 1斤) and a Wanli crab-shaped hat.

The winning list will be drawn at 1 PM on Christmas Day (December 25) via the live stream fan page of the market operator, Xinfanghuo Seafood, and the prizes will be delivered to your home. The more you buy, the better your chances of winning. Come to Guhou to enjoy sweet and fresh Wanli crabs and celebrate a unique Christmas!

Director of the Agriculture Bureau, Li Wen, said that although the main season for Wanli crabs is autumn, winter crabs are also very plump and have firmer, springier meat. Besides steaming or stir-frying, they are also great for making a warm hot pot — the delicious broth is simply irresistible!

After your meal, you can walk from Guhou Fishing Port toward Yehliu to admire the beauty of the Venus Coastline. Nearby, you can also visit the “Wanli Crab Theme Park” to take photos with many super-cute crab mascots. Families are welcome to visit Guhou Fishing Port and enjoy the scenic wonders of the North Coast!
