"Soaring" into Happiness: Kaohsiung International Airport Terminal Becomes a New Hotspot for Wedding Photography

Capturing the most beautiful wedding photos at famous scenic spots or landmarks has always been a favorite among couples. Since last year, Kaohsiung International Airport Terminal has allowed a limited number of 10 couples to take wedding photos within the controlled area of the terminal building. Even after the program ended in March this year, numerous couples continued to inquire about it. Therefore, the terminal has decided to reopen the opportunity starting this month, removing the quota limit. However, a service fee of NT$500 will be charged.

Since the year before last, the internal space of Kaohsiung International Airport has been revamped together with duty-free shops to present a new look. Twelve themed lounges have been planned within the controlled area. After their completion, couples began asking if they could take wedding photos inside the terminal. Considering that the airport’s primary function is air transport, the terminal initially only allowed 10 couples to apply for photo shoots. However, word-of-mouth quickly made the program highly popular among couples, leading to a constant stream of inquiries.

The terminal authority announced that starting now, applications will reopen to the public without any quota restrictions. However, only one couple per week will be allowed, with shooting hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Permitted shooting areas include the moving walkway observation deck, terminal lobby, and the 12 themed lounges within the controlled area. Couples are invited to capture the most beautiful moments of their new life journey in an airport frequented by travelers from around the world.
