Starting today (October 1), the mainland begins its "Golden Week" holiday. Not only are there many outbound travelers, but major crowds have also emerged across various parts of the country. In response to the surge in passenger flow, the Beijing Subway has not only added 24 extra services to stations with high passenger concentrations but has also temporarily closed four stations within the Beijing Subway network, bypassing them without stopping.

According to the Jinghua Times report, on September 30, the eve of the holiday, Beijing Subway's 14 lines transported over 8.7 million passengers. To reduce waiting times and expedite passenger dispersal, during the "Golden Week" holiday, the Beijing Railway Bureau has added 24 extra services based on directions with higher passenger flows. Among these, seven additional services have been added for the Beijing South Station–Tianjin Intercity line, and underground express entry gates have been activated.

At the same time, the Beijing Railway Bureau expects the average daily passenger volume during the holiday period to exceed 8.05 million. Given that Tiananmen Square and the Beijing Zoo are major tourist attractions, even more people are expected to pass through. To ensure the safe operation of the subway, during the holiday period, Tiananmen East Station, Tiananmen West Station, Qianmen Station, and Beijing Zoo Station will be temporarily closed, with trains bypassing them without stopping. Passengers will need to disembark at nearby stations.
