The Taipei International Travel Fair kicks off on the 18th, featuring a newly added exhibition area on the 2nd floor of World Trade Center I for the first time

The annual large-scale travel exhibition – the 2013 Taipei International Travel Fair (Taipei ITF) – will take place from October 18 to 21. This year, a total of 900 exhibitors from 60 countries and regions will showcase their offerings simultaneously at Taipei World Trade Center I and III. The total number of booths has increased from 1,200 to 1,350, marking a 12.5% growth. For the first time, an additional exhibition area has been set up on the 2nd floor of World Trade Center I, designated as the homestay, hotel, and food zone, providing visitors with more choices.

This year’s Taipei International Travel Fair will seethe participation of several newly opened hotels,including Tai Chung Sun Moon Millennium Hotel, Huatai Ruiyuan Kenting Hotel, Cheng Yi Cultural & Creative Hotel, Hualien Fuyeh Resort Hotel, Kenting Corner Fantastic Resort, Fullon Hotels, Fullerton International Hotel, Mandarin Tao Hotel, and Cheng Trip Crystal Hotel, as well as the upcoming Hotel Éclat Taipei, set to open by the end of the year.

This year, the Taipei International Travel Fair has pioneereda dedicated “Love to Travel” theme area.Located in Zone H on the 2nd floor of World Trade Center I, the “Love to Travel” theme area features exciting performances and lucky draw giveaways. Visitors who spend a minimum amount in Zone H will receive one raffle ticket. The event will hold a draw every two hours, with prizes including domestic and international flight tickets, hotel and homestay vouchers, and DIY experiences at tourist factories.

Additionally, the Taipei International Travel Fair has introduceda new Homestay, Hotel, and Food Zone,innovatively set up in Zone H on the 2nd floor of World Trade Center I. This area offers a selection of popular restaurants such as those recognized by the Tourism Bureau as “Friendly Homestays,” as well as eateries like Shanghai Village, Prince Eight, Dian Hua, and Tao Garden, making it a new highlight of this year’s fair.

For the first time this year, the event has introduced the “WiFi Local Cloud” system, setting up a dedicated cloud channel for the travel fair. Visitors can access free Wi-Fi within the exhibition venue to check all fair activities and promotional information. There’s no need to download an app or enter a URL—simply connect your phone to the 2013ITF WIFI network, open the built-in browser, and easily browse all exhibition information, performance schedules, and special promotions, offering real-time and more convenient access to information.
