Taipei International Travel Fair Approaches: Boracay Lures Visitors with Low Prices

Boracay, a top Philippine tourist destination and repeatedly ranked as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, has returned to the list of popular travel spots after the government lifted its red travel alert for the Philippines. Airlines and travel agencies are offering an eye-catching price of NT$16,500 (tax included), hoping to spark a new wave of travel enthusiasm that leaves both businesses and travelers with full wallets.

China Airlines will launch direct flights to Boracay on October 18. In collaboration with travel agencies, it is offering a 5-day itinerary starting from NT$22,300 (tax included), and during the Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) period (October 18–21), a special price of NT$16,500 (tax included) will be available.

China Airlines is the only airline in Taiwan operating direct flights between Taipei and Boracay. Starting October 18, it plans to operate four direct flights per week between Taipei and Boracay, increasing to one flight per day (a total of seven flights per week) starting October 27.

Ms. Guo, who visited Boracay in recent years, said that NT$16,500 is really a very low price—much cheaper than what she paid during her own trip. Moreover, Boracay is breathtakingly beautiful, and even though she’s been there before, she’d love to go again. The Taipei Travel Fair will run for four consecutive days at the World Trade Center Halls 1 and 3, featuring 1,350 booths this year from 60 countries and regions, along with 900 tourism operators.
