The Little Yellow Duck exhibition in Kaohsiung is set to conclude on October 20th. With over 3 million visitors so far, the closing ceremony will be held at 4:00 PM on the 20th. The Kaohsiung City Government is calling on the public to “wear yellow” and enthusiastically bid farewell to the duck. It also invites tourists who haven’t yet seen the duck to seize the final countdown and make a pilgrimage to Glory Pier.

The city government stated that a grand ceremony will be held at Glory Pier on the closing day, hoping that the whole community will wear yellow-toned tops to send off the duck. The exhibition team has also planned performances of the Duck Dance and Swan Dance, and will release yellow eco-friendly balloons into the sky. After 4:30 PM, a fleet of boats will sound their horns and spray water, leading the duck back to Pier-2 Art Center, where it will then be hoisted ashore, deflated, and packed up.

In response to the last weekend holiday of the Little Yellow Duck’s exhibition period on the 19th and 20th, free shuttle buses will start running at 10:00 AM, with increased frequency during peak hours to assist with transportation. Buses will run as frequently as every 5 minutes. Visitors can take the MRT to Central Park Station and transfer to the shuttle bus to reach the exhibition site. The city government also reminds the public that multiple road sections around the exhibition site are closed to vehicles, so people are encouraged to use public transport to visit the duck.
