The World’s Coolest Job: Marianas Internship Pays NT$60,000 a Week

The legendary “world’s coolest job” is back again — the Marianas Islands, an archipelago boasting scenery more beautiful than the Maldives and casino facilities as glamorous as those in Las Vegas, is now recruiting in Taiwan. Starting today, the Marianas office is hiring on its official website. Anyone aged 18 or above with Republic of China nationality can apply for the “Marianas Tourism Bureau – One-Week Intern” position.

“After completing the one-week internship and returning to Taiwan, participants will receive a salary of NT$60,000,” said Shi Chunting, representative of the Marianas Tourism Bureau. Interns will get to experience snorkeling, canoeing, golfing, visiting two historical sites, exploring the Tinian Island casino, and more, all while serving as tourism ambassadors. The entire package — including airfare, accommodation, meals, and activities — is worth over NT$150,000, plus a weekly salary of NT$60,000. Anyone aged 18 or above who is in good health and passionate about travel is welcome to apply for the “Marianas Tourism Bureau: One-Week Intern” program. Mr. Perry Tenorio, Director of the Marianas Tourism Bureau, personally came to Taiwan to announce the internship plan, hoping to recruit creative talents to take on the important role of tourism ambassador and promote the beauty of the Marianas Islands to the people of Taiwan.

Interns who are successfully selected will undergo a series of training sessions at the Tourism Bureau headquarters, including guided tours of Saipan city, training to become shopping experts at duty-free stores, as well as activities such as diving, canoeing, golfing, and scouting marathon routes. Finally, they will serve as intern guides at the Saipan Pacific Island Resort. In addition to the itinerary on Saipan, interns will also visit other islands in the Marianas, including exploring WWII historical sites on Tinian Island, visiting the Tinian casino, swimming holes on Rota Island, and ancient stone quarries of the Chamorro people. This is not only a chance to fully experience the beauty of the Marianas but also an opportunity to broaden horizons and enjoy the charm of oceanic island life — a rare life experience.
