Taiwan opens new flight route: Japanese low-cost carrier to launch Kaohsiung-Osaka route

A low-cost airline is expanding its routes in Taiwan. The Kaohsiung-Kansai route will become Peach Aviation’s sixth international route. Starting January 18, 2014, Peach Aviation will connect the skies between Kaohsiung and Osaka, becoming the first Japanese airline to launch a Kaohsiung-Kansai route.

In response to strong passenger demand, the upcoming Kaohsiung–Osaka (Kansai) route will establish a convenient air link between the Kansai region and southern Taiwan, making it easier for travelers from southern Taiwan to explore Kansai. Peach Aviation CEO Shinichi Inoue stated that the planned launch date is January 18, 2014. Kaohsiung is a representative city of southern Taiwan and enjoys a very friendly and close relationship with Japan. We look forward to even more frequent and vibrant exchanges between Taiwan and Japan. Regarding flight times, departures from Kaohsiung are scheduled for 2:55 PM, arriving around 6:35 PM, while departures from Osaka are at 11:35 AM, arriving at 2:20 PM.
