The Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications stated that to help more tourists learn about and experience Taiwan’s excellent hot springs and hot spring cuisine, this year’s hot spring event has integrated over a hundred businesses across Taiwan that have obtainedthe “Hot Spring Label”certification, along with quality local restaurants and accommodation providers to launch special offers. Coupled with a lucky draw activity called “One Soak, Three Great Benefits,” a “Benefits Passport” has been created. The public can pick up the passport at any of Taiwan’s Tourism Service Centers, or download it for free from the event’s official website (http://www.2013hotspring.com.tw) and ten national e-book stores (Magv, Zinio, Far EasTone eBook Store, pubu, KOOBE, Shenfang, e-Book, Taiwan Mobile My Book, Hami Book Store, and HyRead).

Consumers can participate in the lucky draw by taking a photo with the event ambassadors – life-sized cutouts of Sasa and A-Song and uploading it to the website, or by visiting participating businesses with the Hot Spring Label and spending at least NT$199 to log their receipts, or by earning points through the passport.

The passport not only compiles the features of each hot spring area, hot spring businesses, and detailed transportation information, but also recommends must-visit attractions, must-try dishes, and must-buy souvenirs in each hot spring region. By presenting the passport at designated businesses for soaking or dining, consumers can enjoy great discounts. It offers the best value-for-money activity choice for the public this autumn and winter season.
