There's a new all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant in Banqiao, New Taipei City recently — the Caesar Hotels chain’s “Banqiao Caesar Hotel” officially opened on December 16. However, the buffet restaurant “Peng Pai Buffet” under the Caesar Hotel had already attracted nearby office workers and residents since its soft opening in October. Among the six food zones, the fresh seasonal seafood area and the live-cooked claypot and teppanyaki zone were the most popular, with diners often filling their plates with crabs and shrimp.
The name “Peng Pai Buffet” is a homophone of the Hokkien word for “abundant.” It can accommodate 240 diners, and the chef team has carefully curated up to 80 themed dishes, divided into six food zones: “Appetizers & Salad Zone,” “Fresh Seasonal Seafood Zone,” “Live-Cooked Claypot & Teppanyaki Zone,” “Selected Cooked Dishes & Soup Zone,” and “Exquisite Dessert Zone.”
Targeting Taiwanese people’s love for seafood, the Fresh Seasonal Seafood Zone regularly offers 4–5 types of seafood, including three kinds of crabs (three-spot crab, blue swimming crab, and flower crab), as well as shrimp, mussels, and snails. As for the Japanese sushi bar, it serves four common types of sashimi, four types of nigiri, two types of grilled nigiri, as well as chirashi and flower sushi — making it one of the most popular areas in the restaurant.

Additionally, the Live-Cooked Claypot & Teppanyaki Zone offers a variety of freshly prepared dishes. The teppanyaki section includes fish fillets, lamb chops (menu rotates periodically), while the claypot dishes include XO sauce seafood pot, oyster soup, fresh fish soup, and clam soup. Even sesame oil noodles and beef noodles are available here. Whether it’s the XO sauce seafood pot, oyster soup, fresh fish soup, clam soup, or the fish fillets and lamb chops, their popularity rivals that of the seafood and sashimi in the seafood zone.
For cooked dishes and soups, in addition to regular hot meals, there’s also Tainan beef soup and a fried food section. For soup lovers, three types of soup are regularly offered. Dessert fans can enjoy over ten kinds of sweets, including French gummies.
