Eastern Taiwan also has a spot reminiscent of Hsinchu’s Sea Soundscape Scenic Area. Green Island’s most beautiful beach, “Big White Sand,” is composed of coral particles and crushed seashells, stretching hundreds of meters along the coastline. With its serene and picturesque scenery, this dreamy white sand bay actually hides an extended seascape similar to that of Hsinchu’s Sea Soundscape, making it a hidden gem in many people's hearts.

Summer is the perfect time to head to outlying islands and enjoy a vacation vibe filled with sunshine and beaches. Many choose to visit Green Island in the east, where they can go snorkeling and admire the sea. Surrounded by coral reefs and rich in underwater natural landscapes, Green Island is an international-level diving destination, even boasting unique underwater hot springs.

The Big White Sand, which has gained some popularity on Instagram, is located at the southern tip of Green Island. It is the largest and most beautiful beach on the island, featuring a breathtaking expanse of continuous white sands along the shore. It’s also a designated diving area, suitable for intermediate or advanced scuba divers. However, it’s not a heavily touristed area, so it still retains a bit of a tranquil atmosphere.

There is a shallow underwater trail above the waters of Big White Sand, which is not only great for observing tides and marine life but also very photogenic. Be sure to take a photo on the trail here—during slightly high tide, it looks like you're walking on water, with the blue sea and sky behind you, giving off a definite resemblance to the Sea Soundscape.
