Shing Heung Yuen, a famous hawker food spot in Hong Kong, is a must-try dish for many visitors. Not only are celebrities like Shawn Yue and Aaron Kwok regulars here, but it has also appeared in Hong Kong TV dramas. The rich and aromatic tomato noodle soup is the signature dish of Shing Heung Yuen. It’s loved not only by tourists but also by locals, who are willing to squeeze into the cramped dining space just to have a taste.

The classic hawker eatery Shing Heung Yuen happens to be located right next door to the renowned restaurant Nine Kiu Noodle, and these two popular spots attract visitors from all directions like magnets. Although Shing Heung Yuen doesn’t have a proper storefront like Nine Kiu, its popularity is no less than that of its more formal neighbor.
When visiting Shing Heung Yuen, you must try their popular tomato noodle series and lemon crunchies. The tomato noodle series ranges from HK$21 to HK$30 (approximately NT$84 to NT$120). The soup is tomato-based, and you can choose between instant noodles, macaroni, or rice vermicelli. Toppings include beef, pork, chicken, luncheon meat, ham, sausage, or fried egg. The lemon crunchies consist of lemon juice, honey, and crispy toast, with the bread generously coated in butter and honey — making it one of the eatery’s fan-favorite dishes.
