The More Beautiful as the Night Falls – Three Popular Scenic Bridges in Taichung

So romantic！There are actually several stunningly beautiful bridges in Taichung’s Dakeng area, which have become super popular attractions lately. Even us folks from the south made a special trip here... At dusk, the area is crowded with people taking photos, walking around, chatting, and waiting for the sunset. When night comes, the bridges are lit up with colorful and soft lights, giving off a trendy and romantic vibe. Take a moment to really soak in the beauty of these bridges—when a light breeze drifts by, brushing your cheeks, it’s the perfect moment of peace.


I’ve recently seen on travel websites that Taichung’s Dakeng area has several uniquely designed bridges that use colors and lighting to create a stylish and romantic atmosphere. These bridges often attract couples and photography enthusiasts, and they’ve definitely caught my eye too. Today, I made a special trip here to check them out and take it all in！


The romantic and dreamy Lover’s Bridge—walking across it with your partner feels like being wrapped in pink, surely filling you with an overwhelming sense of love and happiness.


These stunning bridges in Taichung’s Dakeng area are all located at the border between Taiping and Dakeng districts. Tonight, they’re not alone because we’re here with them, filling the quiet night with tender romance.


The Lover’s Bridge in Dakeng has its steel beams painted entirely in shades of pink, softening the usually rigid structure of a bridge and giving it a more feminine side. Pink symbolizes romance and dreams. At night, the lights and reflections on the glass floor create a perfect heart shape, and the bridge also resembles a harp. No wonder it often attracts couples and photographers.


We walked along the charming nighttime riverside path, looking toward the cool blue glow in the distance—that’s the Freshness Bridge (also known as the Butterfly Bridge).


Viewed from the Lover’s Bridge, the Freshness Bridge in the photo looks like a green pearl hanging high in the night sky～


This place is absolutely gorgeous！This butterfly with its wings spread out looks like a green pearl, even more beautiful under the night sky. This is what’s called the Dakeng Butterfly Bridge！But its official name is actually Freshness Bridge！


The lighting changes over time, making the magnificent butterfly appear to flutter its wings through the night.


The Freshness Bridge is often called the “Butterfly Bridge” because it resembles one, and it’s also the most popular of the four bridges.


In the mystery of the dark night, we wait for the butterfly to dance with its wings spread on the empty streets.


The bridge also looks beautiful when shot from the side！


Dakeng Freshness Bridge: Located at the intersection of Junfu 9th Road and Section 2, Xiangshun East Road, Dakeng, Beitun District, Taichung City.


Looking from the Dakeng Freshness Bridge, the so-called Blue Sky White Clouds Bridge in the photo looks so gentle and elegant. Late at night, it took nearly two hours just to photograph the romantic Lover’s Bridge and the fresh Dakeng Freshness Bridge. Time flies when you're enjoying the romance—the remaining Blue Sky White Clouds Bridge and New Peach Blossom Land Bridge will have to wait for another visit.


Here’s another bridge, also very beautiful！This one is called Blue Sky White Clouds！I guess it’s because of its blue and white color scheme！
