Yilan’s Sanxing scallions are renowned far and wide, with their fragrant scallions listed as one of the “Four Treasures of Sanxing.” On November 9, a newly opened scallion experience farm named “Farmer” in Sanxing, Yilan County, not only offers visitors the fun of pulling scallions in the fields and making scallion pancakes, but also features a “Scallion Beauty” who has participated in various beauty pageants and will personally guide tourists in experiencing a day as a scallion farmer. This eye-catching beauty is the daughter of the farm owner—Jiang Yujie, a senior in the Department of Communication at Fo Guang University.

The owner of Farmer Scallion Experience Farm, Jiang Shixian, was originally a local scallion farmer. Because relatives and friends loved this natural land and often visited the scallion fields for fun, Jiang Shixian decided to turn the farmland into an experiential farm and planned a series of activities that allow visitors to get close to nature and learn about the growing environment of Sanxing scallions, experiencing the hard work of scallion farmers from scratch in cultivating the scallions.

His daughter, Jiang Yujie, is a beauty standing 165 cm tall and weighing 45 kg. She is proficient in Korean and studied abroad for a year as an exchange student at Kyungpook National University in Gyeongju, South Korea, last year. She also participated in the 25th World Model Contest, where she won 6th place, and won the Best Eloquence Award in the Su’ao Cold Spring Princess Competition, delivering an outstanding performance.

To assist her father in running the farm and leading the experience activities, Jiang Yujie, who had never engaged in agricultural work before, took off her high heels, put on a straw hat and gloves, and began a rural life with her father. It was a world apart from her previous life, but she didn’t find it difficult—in fact, she considered it a rare and valuable life experience. It is said that when she leads experience activities, her good looks often lead elders to ask if she has a partner or compete to introduce their sons to her.

She said that because she feels young and wants to try many things while she’s still young, and her family supports her, she signed up for the pageant. For the future, in addition to continuing to participate in beauty pageants at home and abroad, Jiang Yujie believes it’s very important to improve her inner and outer cultivation, which can not only increase her knowledge but also boost her self-confidence from the inside out.

Although she loves delicious food, she maintains a great figure. She said she achieves this through exercise. She also mentioned that she doesn’t use any special skincare products to maintain her good skin, but since she takes tourists on outdoor experience activities, she pays special attention to sun protection and maintains good skin by sweating a lot through exercise.
