The series of winter activities in Lukang will kick off on the 16th, and among them, the Lukang Snack Feast in December is an unbeatable "great value and generous portions" deal you shouldn't miss. For just 300 RMB, you can sample 28 different local snacks, including signature Temple Street treats like shrimp monkeys (shrimp monkeys) and oyster fritters (oyster fritters).On average, each dish costs less than 12 RMB. This year, the event has been expanded to include 50 tables across 4 sessions, accommodating up to 2,000 people. The snack feast will be held every Saturday in December, totaling 4 events.

Last year’s Lukang Snack Feast featured 26 different dishes, with 30 tables over 4 sessions, and received widespread acclaim. This year, the number of tables has increased to 50 across 4 sessions, with an even more diverse menu that includes raw pork slices, pineapple shrimp balls, grilled squid rolls, mixed rolls, bite-sized stinky tofu, candied hawthorn, jelly, nougat cookies, and drinks.

The first session of the snack feast will take place on December 7th at the Civic Square opposite the Guild Hall on Qinmin Road. The remaining three sessions will be held on December 14th, 21st, and 28th, all at the second-floor food court of the First Public Market, with 50 tables available per session.

In addition to the Lukang Snack Feast, the Lukang Winter Festival also offers a variety of locally distinctive and seasonal activities, such as free DIY experiences at Osmanthus Lane Art Village, a children’s amusement park, and free tangyuan (sweet rice balls) giveaways for the Winter Solstice. Lukang Township Mayor Huang Zhenyan expressed hopes that visitors of all ages will enjoy exploring Lukang and create unforgettable memories of this charming town.
