Breaking away from their professional image, over ten flight attendants were seen sweating it out on camera as they danced. This is the newly formed “China Airlines Flight Attendant Cheerleading Squad.” On the first day of its establishment (the 11th), the flight attendants gave their all in energetic dance routines, all in preparation for their performance next Sunday during the Korea vs. China game at the “2013 Asia Professional Baseball Championship,” where they will cheer on the Uni-President Lions, the Taiwanese team competing. At the squad’s rehearsal, the usually distant image of flight attendants was replaced by that of dynamic cheerleaders, wearing two-piece professional uniforms adorned with China Airlines’ iconic “plum blossom” on the off-shoulder, along with light purple mini skirts – a bold, lively design that exudes youthfulness.<<>>

As the designated airline for this year’s Asia Professional Baseball Championship, China Airlines recently established its cheerleading squad of flight attendants, planning to perform a 3-minute routine during halftime at the Korea vs. China match next Sunday, with two performances of 1.5 minutes each, and also leading fan cheers from the stands. This newly formed cheerleading squad consists of 23 flight attendants, 7 ground service staff, and other flight and ground crew members with dance backgrounds. Unlike other cheerleading squads, the China Airlines squad will focus on dance moves, incorporating chants, cheer songs, and choreographed sequences.

On the day of the performance, the cheerleading squad will feature 15 members, including ground service staffer Zou Yu, who won a university cheerleading championship, Jay Chou MV dancer Zhao Renyou, and former ballet dancer Ma Yushan. Zou Yu said she is very excited to be performing as part of the China Airlines cheer squad, noting that it’s more challenging than her usual ground duties. Zhao Renyou and Ma Yushan also shared that with only a week of practice, they’re feeling quite nervous – “our minds keep replaying the dance moves even when we sleep at night.”
