Don’t be afraid to buy more — Singapore Airlines increases free checked baggage allowance across all cabin classes!

Singapore Airlines announced that starting from November 15, 2013, passengers traveling on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights will enjoy an additional 10 kg of free checked baggage allowance across all cabin classes. Passengers in Singapore Airlines A380 Suites Class and First Class will be entitled to a free checked baggage allowance of 50 kg; Business Class and Economy Class passengers will have allowances of 40 kg and 30 kg respectively.

For Singapore–US flights using the piece concept system, passengers in A380 Suites Class, First Class, and Business Class will be entitled to two pieces of free checked baggage, with the weight limit for each piece increased from the original 23 kg to 32 kg.

Singapore Airlines’ frequent flyer program KrisFlyer Gold members and Star Alliance Gold members will continue to enjoy an additional 20 kg of free checked baggage allowance across all cabin classes; they will also receive one extra piece of free checked baggage on routes to and from the United States and Brazil.

PPS Club members, who are privileged guests of Singapore Airlines, will continue to enjoy double the free checked baggage allowance regardless of the cabin class they are flying in.
