The London-based British newspaper Metro featured a full-page report highlighting how Taiwan’s cycling tourism is beloved by international visitors,praising the island’s well-developed cycling infrastructure that meets world-class standards, along with its comprehensive bike rental system across Taiwan, which even includes specially designed hotels for cyclists.

According to the report,cycling across Taiwan for activities such as hot spring bathing and sightseeing has become a popular trend, and the island regularly hosts recreational cycling events featuring attractive routes through scenic countryside, rolling mountains, and coastal areas.The article also cited the experience of British cycling enthusiast Rogers who cycled in Taiwan, stating that Taiwan’s beautiful landscapes and unique cycling paths deserve greater recognition.

The recently concluded 2013 Taiwan Cycling Festival attracted over 1,200 cycling enthusiasts from Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries. Many visitors praised the stunning water cycling lane at Sun Moon Lake, expressing hopes of returning every year.
