Taiwan’s tallest Christmas tree in New Taipei’s Kids’ Christmas Town lights up on the 22nd

Jingle bells, jingle bells — with just over a month to go until Christmas, where can you take your kids to celebrate this joyful holiday?

To celebrate Christmas, the New Taipei City Government has specially created the “Kids’ Christmas Town” around the city hall. The town features numerous festive facilities and a variety of family-friendly activities.

At the Kids’ Christmas press conference held on November 18, Chen Shenxian, Secretary-General of the New Taipei City Government, said that this year’s Joyful Christmas Town willopen on November 22 at 6:30 PM, where visitors can see Taiwan’s tallest Christmas tree at 35.5 meters. On November 23 and 24, performances titled “Kids’ Christmas, Joyful Stage” are planned, and other events such as “A Kid’s Stroll,” a Christmas circus parade, and the Winter Wonderland for mischievous kids will follow. It’s a large amusement park where adults can revisit old memories and children can enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Now in its third year, the “Kids’ Christmas Town” not only features a taller Christmas tree but also debuts a flying Christmas teddy bear for the first time. The site will also have amusement rides such as a carousel and coffee cup spinners. In addition, during various events, stars such as the YOYO Family members, SpongeBob SquarePants, the If Kids’ Theater Troupe, and “Mengxueyuan”... will make appearances to join the fun with the children.

Additionally, the New Taipei City Government reminds parents thatat 9:00 AM on November 19, registration for the “A Kid’s Stroll” activity will open on the official website. The event will take place on November 30,with a limited quota of 500 groups.After the lighting ceremony and opening, a “2013 Limited Edition Christmas Bear” will also be given to the public.
